In the Philippines, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reports a total of 1,730,458 people affected as of 15 November 2020. A total of 324,363 individuals are displaced in 2,980 evacuation centres. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) confirms 67 deaths, 21 injured and 15 missing persons. More provinces have been increasingly affected.
the NDRRMC reported 69 deaths caused by the typhoon, along with $9.76 million worth of infrastructure damages and $24.7 million worth of agricultural damages.
While the affected areas continue to reel from the consequences of Typhoon Goni and three preceding cyclones in October and November, Typhoon Vamco(Ulysses) has further hampered response efforts and caused further destruction.
The typhoon has caused substantial damage on the order of $230 million across the island of Luzon, where the capital city of Manila is located. The damage includes extensive damage to health facilities, schools and essential services. The storm damaged thousands of schools and caused damage to telecommunications and electrical infrastructure that will likely take months to repair.
The affected communities in the Philippines needs your little assistance to survive the shock and loses caused by the Typhoon.
